Sean: IWWL Day 4 Photo Review Reflections
From the photo review I learned that I should keep my hands more still. I also learned that I need to take pictures from different angles and to think more about lighting.

Enanu: First Impressions of Bloomingdale, Site Visit #1
My neighborhood (Bloomingdale) seems quiet but loud at the same time. Some of the residents , the few that were outside, were also quiet. They kept to themselves. I hope to see maybe a happier brighter side of Bloomingdale J.

Meet Julia
Hi! My name is Julia and I’m an intern with the Investigating Where We Live program. I recently graduated from St. Mary’s College of Maryland with a B.A. in English and a minor in Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies. I’m really interested in how people identify with the communities around them, and subsequently how that’s reflected in their art and the public environment. Luckily, I’ll get a chance to explore those interests while investigating Mount Pleasant with Vinita and our students. I really like Mount Pleasant so far, especially because of how involved people are with their surroundings, but one of the things I’ve loved the most is the public art, particularly the Art on Call stands. Here’s a video I found of pictures of Mount Pleasant, with some examples of the historic architecture and art around the neighborhood. In general, it looks like a great neighborhood to learn about diversity and how a community expresses itself, so I’m sure that it’ll be a great place for everyone to investigate.
